 “TWO TIMES ANA” (Miami 2010)” is the story of two Ana’s marked by the color of their skin that live in two very different worlds that somehow seem to run parallel to each other yet overlap. Ana works as a cashier on Calle 8 in Miami Little Havana and is trying to get over a stormy relationship with her lover Javier, a hip-hop musician. Ana’s workday is animated by her amusing encounters with customers that somehow shape her life. The other Ana is an actress who plays an African slave in a TV soap opera and she’s on her way to success in Hollywood. Ana realizes that her moment has finally arrived and decides that she’ll stop at nothing to succeed. One Ana’s dream is the other Ana’s illusion. Dreams or Reality and success or deception get mixed up in this Drama/Comedy that bends racial boundaries and stereotypes, where “Perception is not Reality”
